Authorized Officers Must Serve Notice in Form I or II for Possession of Property Under PMLA Rules 2013
The Prevention of Money-Laundering (Taking Possession of Attached or Frozen Properties Confirmed By The Adjudicating Authority) Rules, 2013, stipulate that an authorized officer must serve notice to all concerned parties when taking possession of immovable property. This notice must be in Form I and affixed conspicuously on the property, as well as published in a local newspaper. For properties that are productive assets, the notice must be in Form II, similarly affixed and published. These procedures ensure proper notification and transparency in the process of taking possession of such properties.
