of <h1>Vice-Chairman vacancy in Authority for Advance Rulings follows 2016 appointment rules, Selection Committee chooses candidates.</h1> Whenever a vacancy for Vice-Chairman arises within the Authority for Advance Rulings, the position is advertised publicly, and applicants are required to submit their applications via the Registrar of High Courts. The Selection Committee is responsible for determining its own procedure to select candidates from the applicants for inclusion in a panel of names to be recommended for the Vice-Chairman appointment. This process was established under the Authority for Advance Rulings (Procedure for Appointment as Chairman and Vice-Chairman) Rules, 2016, as amended on October 24, 2016.
