of <h1>Rule 7 of 2016 Rules: Seniority for IRS members set by Controlling Authority or as per Central Government instructions.</h1> The Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Central Excise) Group 'A' Rules, 2016, under Rule 7, addresses the determination of seniority for service members. It states that the seniority of members existing at the commencement of these rules will remain as previously determined. If any member's seniority was not established before these rules, it will be determined by the Controlling Authority following the Central Government's general orders. For appointments made after the commencement of the rules, seniority will be determined according to the Central Government's instructions on seniority.
