Unaccompanied baggage may transit between customs stations subject to supervision, insurance, sealing, and bond requirements.

Transit of unaccompanied baggage to a different designated customs station is permitted if transport is arranged and booked by the passenger or agent, the baggage remains under supervision of a customs officer (with the passenger paying the officer's fees), goods transported by rail that can be insured are insured, and for truck transport the carrier is responsible for carriage in containerised trucks after Customs sealing and on execution of bond and security to the satisfaction of the Principal Commissioner or Commissioner of Customs.
