of <h1>Finance Act 2006 Repeals Promissory Notes (Stamp) Act 1926; Existing Rights and Obligations Remain Unaffected.</h1> Section 70 of the Finance Act, 2006, repeals the Promissory Notes (Stamp) Act, 1926. However, the repeal does not impact any previous operations, actions, rights, privileges, obligations, or liabilities established under the 1926 Act. It also does not affect the validation of any promissory note executed under the repealed Act.
