Contravention of Code provisions, rules, regulations, bye-laws or orders restricting or regulating employment of workers-including women, audio-visual workers, contract labour and persons below eighteen in mines-attracts a penalty of not less than fifty thousand rupees and which may extend to one lakh rupees; on a subsequent conviction for the same provision, the offender may be punished with imprisonment up to three months, or a fine up to two lakh rupees, or both.
