Effective July 15, 2024.</h1> Goods classified under code 7612, such as aluminium casks, drums, cans, and boxes, are subject to a tax rate of either 18% IGST or a combination of 9% CGST and 9% SGST/UTGST. Milk cans made of aluminium are excluded from this classification. This tax rate was amended by notification no. 02/2024 Integrated Tax (Rate) effective from July 15, 2024, altering the previous description that included all aluminium casks, drums, cans, and boxes without exceptions.
