of <h1>Tax Update: Non-Electric Domestic Appliances Made of Iron or Steel Taxed at 18% IGST; Exclusions Apply</h1> Goods such as stoves, ranges, grates, cookers, barbecues, braziers, gas-rings, plate warmers, and similar non-electric domestic appliances made of iron or steel are subject to IGST at 18% or CGST and SGST/UTGST each at 9%. Exclusions apply to kerosene burners, kerosene stoves, wood-burning stoves, and solar cookers. The tax rate was amended by notification no. 02/2024 effective from July 15, 2024, and previously by notification no. 43/2017 effective from November 15, 2017, which initially included LPG stoves.
