        <h1>GST on sausages and similar meat products expanded to include insects, altering applicable tax classification and treatment.</h1> Goods described as sausages and similar products of meat, meat offal, blood or insects, and food preparations based on these products, are subject to GST @ 12% until 21-09-2025. The tariff description was amended by Notification No. 18/2021-Integrated Tax (Rate) dated 28-12-2021, effective 1-1-2022, to explicitly include insects in the scope.
