        <h1>GST classification change: tariff item for synthetic polymer-based paints and varnishes omitted, altering their tax classification.</h1> Tariff item 3208, previously describing paints and varnishes based on synthetic or chemically modified natural polymers in a non aqueous medium (including enamels, lacquers and related solutions), was omitted by Notification No. 19/2018 effective 27 July 2018, thereby removing that Schedule entry and changing the classificatory position of those goods for GST.
