of <h1>GST Update: Tar from Coal, Lignite, Peat Removed from 5% Tax Schedule Effective July 18, 2022, per Notification 6/2022. /2022</h1> Goods previously subject to IGST at 5% or a combination of CGST at 2.5% and SGST/UTGST at 2.5% have been omitted from the tax schedule. This change was made effective from July 18, 2022, as per Notification No. 6/2022-Integrated Tax (Rate) dated July 13, 2022. The goods affected by this omission were tar distilled from coal, lignite, or peat.
