of <h1>New Cess Rates for Feature Films Announced: Rs. 20,000 for Hindi/English, Rs. 10,000 for Other Languages.</h1> The cess levied on feature films under the Cine Workers Welfare Cess Act, 1981. It specifies that the Central Government, exercising its powers under the Act, has set a cess rate of Rs. 20,000 per Hindi and English feature film and Rs. 10,000 per feature film in all other languages. This notification supersedes previous notifications dated 13th October 1994 and 12th November 1998, and the new rates are effective from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
