Standard input-output norms (SION) prescribe allowable import inputs and proportions for manufacture of Refined Sunflower Oil (Edible Grade) tied to its export. The SION enumerates specific inputs-crude sunflower oil, caustic lye, phosphoric acid, citric acid, bleaching earth, filter aid-and requires applicants to ensure imported goods are those used in the export product and comply with prevailing PFA specifications. Imports are permitted only after the first export and upon grant of an EODC as per the policy circular.
