of <h1>New SION Guidelines: Key Material Requirements for Asbestos Brake Lining Production Under Foreign Trade Policy</h1> Standard Input-Output Norms (SION) under the Foreign Trade Policy specify the materials and quantities needed for manufacturing Asbestos Moulded Non-Metallic Brake Lining. For every 1 kg of brake lining produced, 0.25 kg of Phenol Formaldehyde Resin and 0.70 kg of Asbestos (in various grades or yarn) are required. Additional materials like Aluminium Powder, Brass Chips, and others should not exceed 5% of the FOB export value, while miscellaneous items like Grinding Wheels and Carbide Tips can be up to 3% of the FOB export value. Importers must ensure that imported goods are used in the export product.
