<h1>Foreign Trade Policy deletes standard input-output norms but keeps requirement to determine and follow proportional input rules for exports</h1> Standard input-output norms for certain engineering products under the Foreign Trade Policy have been deleted; however, the rule requiring determination of proportions of various inputs for manufacture of resultant products remains. Applicants must establish and adhere to the proportional input requirements for each export product and ensure that goods declared for import and actually imported correspond to the inputs used or required in the exported product. Nonconforming imports would not satisfy this obligation.
