of <h1>New SION Guidelines for Steel Wire Exports: Key Input Requirements and Restrictions for Manufacturers</h1> The Standard Input-Output Norms (SION) for manufacturing non-alloy/alloy steel coated/plated wires under the Foreign Trade Policy. For every 1000 kg of the export product, the required inputs include wire rods, billets/blooms, CI/steel rolls, furnace oil, lubricants, tungsten carbide dies, bobbins/spools, relevant metal for coating, and lead. Specific quantities are prescribed for each input. Import of wet drawing lubricant is restricted to the export of wet drawn steel wires below 1.6mm. Applicants must ensure that imported goods are necessary for the export product.
