of <h1>New SION Guidelines for Copper or Aluminium Conductors in High Voltage Cables Above 1.1 KV Announced</h1> The Standard Input-Output Norms (SION) for the production of copper or aluminium conductors screened with a semi-conducting compound, XLPE insulated G.I. wire, and armoured or unarmoured PVC sheathed cables for voltages above 1.1 KV. For every 1 km of cable, the required materials include continuous cast copper rod, aluminium ingots, XLPE compound, PVC compound or its components (resin, plasticizer, lubricant, filler), and a semi-conducting compound. The specified input quantities are 1.01 kg of copper or aluminium, 1.05 kg of XLPE compound, and 1.05 kg of PVC compound per kilogram content in the export product.
