Standard input-output norms under the Foreign Trade Policy have been shifted to the Electronics Group and the SION entry for Engineering Products suspended. The scheme requires determination of proportions of inputs permissible or necessary for manufacture of resultant products, and applicants must ensure imported goods correspond to inputs actually used or required in the export product to satisfy eligibility conditions under the FTP.
