Standard input-output norms restrict imports for CRNO electrical steel and bar hot-rolled input when export is semi-processed. Standard Input-Output norms list permitted inputs and quantity norms for manufacture and export of Cold Rolled Non Grain Oriented Silicon Electrical Steel Sheet/Coils in fully or semi-processed states, noting the SION is suspended. Enumerated inputs include hot rolled silicon electrical steel wide coils, organic/inorganic coatings, pickling oil, steel stripping and packing materials, cold rolling mill rolls and mineral based rolling oil, with some items governed by packing policy. Import of the hot rolled input is prohibited if the export product is CRNO in semi-processed form. Importers must ensure imported goods are those used or required in the export product and determine input proportions accordingly.
