FT Policy norms for sewing machines (C1300) suspended; specified alloy and steel input-output ratios required
Norms for Domestic/Embroidery/Industrial/Overlock sewing machines (classification C1300) under the Foreign Trade Policy were suspended by a public notice dated 03-05-2024. Specified input-output ratios require alloy steel bar/rod at 1.3 kg per kg of export and CRCA sheet/coil and pig iron/CI/steel scrap each at 1.2 kg per kg of export. The schedule governs determination of permissible input proportions for manufacture of the resultant products and requires applicants to ensure imported inputs correspond to those actually used or required in the exported goods.
