Suspension of input-output norms for nickel silver strip manufacture; specified input ratios and import-use compliance required
Standard input-output norms prescribe allowed input materials and specified input-to-export-product ratios for manufacture of nickel silver strip used in defence, electronics and telecommunications, with the measure suspended by a public notice. For nickel silver strip, acceptable inputs include nickel silver scrap (1.090 kg per kg of export product) or specified proportions of copper (wire/bar/cathode/ingot/rod or scrap at 1.064-1.075 kg/kg), zinc ingot (1.064 kg/kg), and nickel cathode (1.064 kg/kg). Separate norms list zinc ingots and nickel cathode at 1.05 kg/kg. Applicants must ensure imported inputs correspond to actual use in the export product.
