of <h1>Government suspends SION input norms for silver-bearing copper strip, requiring exporters to match actual inputs used (Public Notice 03/2024-25)</h1> Standard Input-Output Norms for Silver-bearing copper strip/sheets/foil under Engineering Products (SION) were suspended by Public Notice No. 03/2024-25 (03-05-2024). The prescribed input norms for producing 1 kg of finished product list allowable inputs and quantum: copper scrap (or copper wire bar) at approximately 1.03-1.06 kg per kg of exportable content, and unwrought silver/silver ingots/bullion of 99.9% purity at about 1.02 kg per kg of exportable content. A prior substitution of inputs was effected by an earlier public notice. Applicants must ensure imported goods correspond to inputs actually used in the exported product.
