New SION Guidelines: Steel Forgings Input Ratios, Chemical and Miscellaneous Item Limits for Export Compliance
The Standard Input-Output Norms (SION) for manufacturing carbon steel, non-alloy steel, alloy steel, and stainless steel forgings. For each kilogram of forgings, 1.470 kg of relevant steel material is required. Chemicals like rust-preventing oil, primer, and paints are limited to 2% of the FOB value of exports. Miscellaneous items, including refractory materials, die steel, cutting tools, and lubricants, are capped at 4% of the FOB export value. Applicants must ensure that imported goods are used in the export product, adhering to the specified input proportions.
