Input composition limits for cable manufacture ensure specified proportions of copper, PVC resin, plasticizer and filler for import eligibility. Standards require that imports for multicore PVC insulated copper control cables follow Engineering Table 5: copper in specified forms and PVC compound or permitted alternatives in fixed proportions. If PVC compound is substituted, allowed quantities are PVC resin 60%, plasticizer 30% and filler 10% of the PVC compound allocation; PVC stabilizer may be allowed up to 3% subject to a matching reduction in PVC resin. Imported quantities must conform to Engineering Table 5 and applicants must ensure imports are the inputs used or required in the export product.
