of <h1>Amendments to SION: Updated Material Requirements for Glass Production, Including Restrictions on Borax/Boric Acid Quantities</h1> The Standard Input-Output Norms (SION) for producing glass bottles and pressed tumblers/bottles under the Foreign Trade Policy. It specifies the required materials and their quantities, including soda ash, sodium nitrate, barytes, selenium, electro cast refractories, ceramic color, formers, and packing materials. Selenium is allowed only for yellowish pink-colored products. Amendments include the inclusion of formers since 2004, renumbering of packing materials, and restrictions on borax/boric acid quantities. Public notices have updated and amended these norms, with specific changes noted in 2008 and 2009.
