<h1>From 22 September 2025, prepared or preserved meat, offal, blood and insects become taxable at 5% GST</h1> From 22 September 2025, certain goods classified as other prepared or preserved meat, meat offal, blood or insects are taxable under the schedule at a GST rate of 5%; this amendment adds those specified items to the taxable schedule, altering their tax treatment from prior classification and requiring affected suppliers and importers to apply the 5% GST on sales or imports of these prepared or preserved products from the effective date.
