Export classification for Chapter 25 mineral products generally permits free export of listed salt, sulphur, stone, clays, minerals, lime and cement products, subject to classification rules and product-specific conditions. Listed silica sands, quartz sands and other natural sands, and the residual "other" mineral substances category, are restricted. Sillimanite and natural garnet exports require the State Trading Enterprise channel through Indian Rare Earths Limited. Crocidolite exports require a No Objection Certificate. Products classifiable under heading 2517 and another Chapter 25 heading are classified under heading 2517.
