of <h1>Hydraulic brake fluids with less than 70% petroleum oils taxed at 18% GST under notification no. 43/2017.</h1> Hydraulic brake fluids and other prepared liquids for hydraulic transmission, containing less than 70% by weight of petroleum oils or oils from bituminous minerals, are subject to GST. The applicable tax rate is 18% under the Integrated Goods and Services Tax (IGST) or a combined 9% Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) and 9% State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) or Union Territory Goods and Services Tax (UTGST). These rates were established by notification no. 43/2017, effective from November 15, 2017.
