Export controls on animal products restrict wild-sourced items; many goods require licences or CAPEXIL and health certification for export.
Chapter 05 imposes graded export controls on animal products by HS code, defining key terms and exclusions, broadly prohibiting exports of wild animals, parts and derivatives unless statutory ownership/permits apply, and requiring Restricted Export Authorisation where permissible. Many items are allowed free export subject to policy conditions; others are specifically prohibited or restricted. Certain consignments (notably exports to the European Union of pig bristles, bone and related products) require consignment-wise CAPEXIL Shipment Clearance Certificates and post-shipment Production Process and/or Health Certificates issued jointly with the Regional Animal Quarantine Officer.
