of <h1>Central Government Amends Marble Import Rules in ITC(HS) Schedule-I, Updating Licensing Note in Chapter 25</h1> The Central Government has amended Schedule-I (Imports) of the ITC(HS) Classifications for marble imports under the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-09. The amendment modifies Import Licensing Note No. (2) in Chapter 25, originally inserted by Notification No. 17 (RE-2007), to include conditions specified in several Policy Circulars issued between June and August 2008. These changes are made under the authority of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, and are intended to serve the public interest. The notification is issued by the Director General of Foreign Trade.
