of <h1>Nalanda Dance Research Centre Gains Tax-Exempt Status for Social Science Research Under Section 35(1)(iii) of Income-tax Act</h1> The Nalanda Dance Research Centre in Bombay has been approved by the Indian Council of Social Science Research under section 35(1)(iii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961. This approval allows the Centre to collect funds exempt from income tax, provided they are used exclusively for promoting research in social sciences. The Centre must maintain separate accounts for these funds and submit an annual report and audited statement to the Council detailing fund collection and utilization. This notification is valid from April 1, 1981, to March 31, 1984.
