of <h1>Maize Export Ban Amended: 25,000 Metric Tons Approved for UN Humanitarian Relief in Kenya, Somalia, Burundi</h1> Notification No. 28/2008, dated August 5, 2008, amends Notification No. 22/2008 regarding the ban on maize exports. Under the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, the Central Government permits the export of 25,000 metric tons of maize by a designated company in New Delhi. This exemption applies to maize exports intended for the United Nations' World Food Programme, specifically for humanitarian relief operations in Kenya, Somalia, and Burundi. This amendment is issued in the public interest by the Director General of Foreign Trade.
