Raheja Corporation Private Limited initially proposed to establish a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for IT and IT-enabled services in Pocharam Village, Andhra Pradesh, under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The Board of Approval confirmed compliance with necessary requirements and granted formal approval, which was conveyed on October 31, 2006. Subsequently, the approval was transferred to M/s. Serene Properties Private Limited, an associate of K. Raheja Corporation, with the Central Government's consent on February 23, 2007. The notified SEZ covers a total area of 26.895 hectares across specific survey numbers in Pocharam Village.
