of <h1>Karuna Setu Trust's Hospital Project in Gujarat Extended and Budget Increased Under Section 35AC of Income-tax Act, 1961.</h1> The Central Government has specified the project by Karuna Setu Trust in Vadnagar, Mehsana District, Gujarat, for running a hospital, purchasing equipment, and conducting welfare activities as an eligible scheme under section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially approved for three years from the assessment year 1999-2000 and extended for another three years from 2002-2003, the project is anticipated to continue beyond six years. The National Committee has recommended extending the project for an additional three years and increasing the project cost from 67.48 lakhs to 142.03 lakhs, including a corpus fund of 50 lakhs.
