of <h1>Tax Exemption Extended for Bihar Eye Research Training Centre u/s 35AC, Income-tax Act.</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the project for constructing and equipping an Eye Research Training Centre at Veerayatan, Rajgir, Nalanda, Bihar, for tax exemption under section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially specified in 1997 and extended in 2000, the project has been approved for an additional three years starting from the assessment year 2004-2005. The project, carried out by an organization in Rajgir, is estimated to cost 1.7 crore rupees and has been deemed satisfactorily executed by the National Committee.
