of <h1>New Special Economic Zone Approved for Transport Engineering Goods, Including Tyres and Tubes, Covers 103.23 Hectares</h1> The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has approved the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for transport engineering goods, including the manufacture of tyres and tubes, at the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited Industrial Growth Centre in Gangaikondan Village, Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu. The Central Government, satisfied with the compliance of requirements under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, granted approval on April 21, 2008. The notified SEZ covers a total area of 103.23 hectares, as detailed in the specified survey numbers.
