India Imposes Anti-Dumping Duty on CFL Imports from China and Hong Kong to Protect Local Industry
The Government of India has imposed an anti-dumping duty on Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFL) imported from the People's Republic of China and Hong Kong. This decision follows findings that these imports were sold below normal value, causing injury to the Indian industry. An exception was made for exports by certain companies where no causal link was established. M/s Osram China Lighting Ltd. was subjected to a review, and it was concluded their exports were also below normal value. Consequently, an anti-dumping duty of US $0.16 per piece is imposed on their CFL exports to India, effective from February 13, 2006.
