<h1>Central Government Appoints New Development Commissioner for SEZs in Gujarat to Boost Electronics and IT Sectors</h1> The Central Government has appointed the Director of Software Technology Parks of India in Gandhinagar as the Development Commissioner for the Special Economic Zones (SEZ) under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The appointed Development Commissioner will oversee SEZs developed by Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation in Gandhinagar and Ganesh Infrastructure Private Limited in Ahmedabad, focusing on electronic products and IT services, respectively. The Director must follow instructions from the Central Government, the Department of Commerce, and the Board of Approval on SEZs, providing periodic reports and being accountable to the Department of Commerce. Personal matters will be managed by the Department of Information Technology.
