of <h1>Director of Software Technology Parks of India Appointed as Development Commissioner for SEZs in Maharashtra</h1> The Central Government has appointed the Director of Software Technology Parks of India, Navi Mumbai, as the Development Commissioner for various Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in Maharashtra, as per Notification No. SO 1918(E) dated 12-11-2007. The appointed Development Commissioner will oversee SEZs developed by entities such as EON Kharadi Infrastructure Private Limited, WIPRO Limited, and Infosys Technologies Limited, among others, focusing on Information Technology and related services. The Development Commissioner must follow instructions from the Central Government and report to the Department of Commerce, while personal administrative matters will be managed by the Department of Information Technology.
