of <h1>Director of Software Technology Parks appointed as Development Commissioner for SEZs in Kerala under Section 11 of SEZ Act.</h1> The Central Government, under Section 11 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, has appointed the Director of Software Technology Parks of India in Thiruvananthapuram as the Development Commissioner for specified Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in Kerala. These SEZs include Infopark in Kakkanad, Electronic Technology Park in Trivandrum, and others focused on Information Technology and Electronics Industries. The appointed Development Commissioner must follow instructions from the Central Government, Department of Commerce, and the Board of Approval on SEZs, and is required to submit periodic reports. Personal matters are managed by the Department of Information Technology.
