Iqbal Mohamed Trust's Light and Life Academy Project Extended Under Section 35AC for Additional Two Years

The Central Government has extended the eligibility of a project under Section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961, for the Iqbal Mohamed Trust's initiative involving the construction of a building, purchase of equipment, books, furniture, vehicles, and the operation of the Light and Life Academy in Ooty. Initially approved for two years starting from the 2002-2003 assessment year, the project has been granted an additional two-year period starting from the 2003-2004 financial year. This extension follows a recommendation by the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare, confirming the project's proper execution.
