Initially recognized in 1997, the project, which involves instruments, equipment, vehicles, and operations of the hospital, was previously extended in 2000 and 2003. The National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare recommended a further three-year extension due to the project's proper execution. The project will continue to be eligible for tax exemption for three more years starting from the financial year 2006-07, with an approved cost of Rs. 73.50 lakhs and a corpus fund of Rs. 20.00 lakhs.
