of <h1>Charitable Trust's Medical Project in Herbal Medicine Extended Under Section 35AC of Income-tax Act, 1961</h1> The Central Government has specified the purchase of equipment, vans, ambulances, and the furnishing and running of medical services and research in herbal and ayurvedic medicines for diseases like cancer and skin diseases by a charitable trust in Madhya Pradesh as an eligible project under section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially approved for three years starting from the assessment year 2002-03 and extended for one year in 2005-06, the project is now further extended for three years starting from the financial year 2006-07, with no change in the approved cost of Rs. 227.72 lakhs.
