of <h1>Medical Research Foundation's Free Eye Surgery Project Extended Under Section 35AC of Income-tax Act for Three More Years</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the Medical Research Foundation's project for free eye surgeries and hospital operations in Chennai under section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially approved for three years from the 2004-05 assessment year, the project has been recognized for its proper execution by the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare. Consequently, the project is specified for an additional three years starting from the 2006-2007 financial year, maintaining the approved cost of Rs. 3270.00 lakhs, including a corpus fund of Rs. 2800.00 lakhs.
