Mohan Thuse Netra Rugnalaya in Narayangaon, Maharashtra, as an eligible project under section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially approved for three years starting from the 1997-1998 assessment year, the project received extensions in 2000 and 2003. The National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare recommended another extension, and the government has approved it for an additional three years from the 2005-2006 financial year, with an estimated cost of Rs. 79.60 lakhs and a corpus fund of Rs. 40.00 lakhs.
