of <h1>World Memorial Fund T.B. Project in India gets 3-year extension u/s 35AC, with Rs. 338.19 lakhs cost.</h1> The Central Government has specified the World Memorial Fund T.B. Project, involving four mobile teams in Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, Surat, and Delhi by The Memorial Fund for Disaster Relief India, as an eligible project under section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially approved in 1994, the project has undergone several extensions, with the estimated cost increased to Rs. 338.19 lakhs. The National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare has recommended further extension due to satisfactory execution. Consequently, the project is approved for an additional three years starting from the financial year 2007-08, maintaining the same cost.
