Milk Powder Export Restrictions Relaxed for Bhutan, Myanmar, and Afghanistan Under Foreign Trade Policy Amendments
Exports of specific quantities of milk powder and milk food for babies are exempted from restrictions under the Foreign Trade Policy. The exemptions include 75 MT of milk powder to Bhutan and 200 MT of skimmed milk powder (SMP) to Myanmar, both by designated Indian companies. Additionally, 28 MT of SMP and 8.1 MT of milk food for babies are exempted for export to Afghanistan. These exemptions are made under the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, and are effective immediately as per the amendments to the previous notifications. This decision is issued in the public interest.
