Amended Notification Caps River Sand Export at 450,000 MTs; CAPEXIL to Ensure Compliance with Coastal Regulations
The Central Government has amended Notification No. 58(RE-2006)/2004-2009, dated April 13, 2007, under the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009. The amendment specifies that the quantity of River Sand permitted for export is now 450,000 MTs. The Chemicals and Allied Products Export Promotion Council (CAPEXIL) is tasked with ensuring that suppliers or extractors have the necessary clearances and that sand mining does not occur in the Coastal Regulation Zone Area, as prohibited by the Coastal Regulation Zone Notification. This amendment is issued in the public interest.
