of <h1>India Withdraws Additional Customs Duty on Imported Liquor Under Notification No. 82/2007-Customs for Public Welfare</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 82/2007-Customs, dated July 3, 2007, announcing the withdrawal of the additional duty of customs on imported liquor. This decision is made under the powers conferred by the Customs Act, 1962, and the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, and supersedes a previous notification from December 12, 2003. The withdrawal exempts all goods from the additional duty as specified in a prior notification dated March 1, 2003, in the interest of public welfare.
