of <h1>India Notifies New IT Special Economic Zone in Kerala, Covering Over 30 Hectares Under SEZ Act, 2005</h1> The Government of India has officially notified the establishment of a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Kusumagiri, village Kakkanad, Ernakulam in Kerala, covering a total area of 30.7683 hectares. This SEZ is designated for information technology and IT-enabled services, following the approval granted on April 7, 2006, to a company for its development. The notification, issued under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, specifies the survey numbers and corresponding areas that comprise the SEZ. The notification was published in the Gazette of India on September 28, 2006.
